Shasta's cyan eyes were wide. She had a.... past with storms. She quickly looked around hoping for some kind of shelter. She couldn't find anythign so she tried to pul herself together. This was the only thing in her live she feared. Storms. She pinched her wings close to her pitch back. She kept her head low so Rnegade wouldn't notice her uniquely weird fear. She was now soaked from the pouring rain. Her black mane slicked silky against her hide. Lightning cracked over the sky, startling her noticably. Then the thunder acme in an ear shattering boom making her cower then gallop off in desperate search of a place to hide.

[lucky, lol ] Renegade watched as the mare ran off. His black mane drooped to his knees, and his tail to the ground. The pelting rain streamed down his hazel colored, dappled hide. The stallion wondered why the storm had frightened Shasta. Renegade's curiosity got the better of him, and he walked in the direction she had ran off in. Besides, the storm was getting worse, and soon Renegade would need shelter himself. Thunder clashed above his head, and lightning bolts tore open the sky, illuminating the stallion's figure.

Shasta ran a good ten minutes before stopping. She slowwed down and went under a large pine tree. Her breathing was labored and heavy. Her cyan eyes were wide, and frightened. Her pitch black bodywere trembing trembling, and her narrow nostrils were flared. The rain continued even harder, lightning cracked almost constantly now.

Renegade followed the mare's trail to a pine clove in which she was hiding under. The stallion slowed back down to a walk, and peered under the long branches to see Shasta trembling all over. He decided she would probably like to be alone at the moment, or at least until the storm passed. So instead of asking her what was wrong, Renegade gave her the privacy she needed and trotted into a cave not to far away.
The Pegasus gave a loud but brief whinny in a strong voice to Shasta, telling her that she could come and join him in the cave where she would have more protection from the storm.

Shasta blinked a few times, then she turned her head to where she heard the whinny. She stepped to the edge of he tall pine tree and looked around to see a cave not far away. She quickly raced toward it, almost cowarding. She made it inside and hid toward the back. Past memories slipped over her eyes...

Renegade watched as the frightened mare ran into the cave, and he wondered desperately about why she was so afraid of the dying storm outside the warm and rocky den. The stallion decided it was best to wait until the storm was over, because she seemed to be going through a state of panic or shock.

Shasta furiously puushed away her past memories and stared outside. Her cyan eyes almost dead, but they were just realy blank. She finally loked away from the dying storm and looked to Renegade, trying to find her voice, "I'm.... so sorry," She said with difficulty. She shuddered a little bit, her black coat was soaked to the point where it was dripping, still.

Renegade nodded. "It's fine. I-I think I know how you feel..." he stated, a faraway look in his hazel eyes.

I walked up the mountaines path and sniffed at the air. I reared up at the smell of other horses, my blue eyes glowed an ice blue as lightning flashed. My blaze turned whiter than ever before, I ran up for a drink and some water as I ran I saw the 2 pegasus and reared at them with wild eyes that seemed to glow red at the flash of more lightning.
I sniffed again, then asked in a very unpleased voice "Who are you!?" I reared awaiting their answer, and stared at the black stallion pegasus in wonder of why I am not a pegasus being born to a family of pegasus.
