Onyx stepped over a huge root of a tree that seemed to stetch above her forever as well as the other trees of the Forest of Mist. Her purple, jewel-like eyes looked around cautiously from under long, dark lashes.
Onyx's dark purple, somewhat sparlkely, wingtips almost touched the ground even though her wings were as close and snug as they could be to her body. Onyx's onyx forelock fell in her eyes, and her long tail nearly dragged behind her.
Everything was quiet exept for Onyx's quiet hooves, and her occasionaly stepping on a twig. She looked like a mere shadow in the mist from afar, giving her good cover from any predator that may be about. Onyx quietly walked on, through the boggy forest. How she longed for some company.

A dappled blue Unicorn mare with black buckskin points and blue and white mixed hair ran through the Forest. Her blue eyes were wide with fear, and she had many scraps on her body. Starfire had been running from a cougar in the Mountain Range. It had chased her all the way dow nthe mountain and into the Forest of Mist.
Starfire jumped over the roots of trees, and galloped as hard as she could, not daring to look behind her. Awhile longer, she nearly collapsed with exgastion. She slowed from a gallop, to a stumbily (<--Not a word?) trot, and then a halt. The Unicorn cautiously looked behind her, expecting to see the cougar staring back at her.
But instead, she saw nothing but the trees and mysterious mist. Starfire sighed in releif, and walked over to a small puddle of rainwater. The clear water stared back at Starfire, mirroring her face. She arched her neck and began to drink the cool water, shattering her reflection.

Onyx laid her ears back and stopped walking when she heard hoofbeats nearby. She spread her wings, making her look 3x bigger. Her jeweled, purple eyes searched for any signes of movement. When she detected none, Onyx slowly started walking forewards again.
A few minutes later, she came across a small puddle of rainwater. The onyx Pegasus noticed hoof tracks leading to, and away from the small puddle. Onyx curiously followed them until she came to the trunk of a tree, were a blueish Unicorn was laying.
Onyx snorted, and took a step back, waking the Unicorn. When the mre looked up and saw Onyx, she stared at her wings. Onyx saw that this Unicorn was no threat, and pricked her ears asking, "What? Never seen a Pegasus before?" She opened her wings, emphesizing her question.
The Unicorn got to her hooves, and shook her head. "Can you really,... fly?" She asked. Onyx snorted in amusement. "Of course I can. What herd do you come from?" The Unciron looked to the ground. "I'm a Loner." She said quietly. Onyx looked at her curiously. "Me too. What's your name? I'm Onyx."
The blue pools of the Unicorn looked into Onyx's purple ones, and she pricked her ears. "Hi Onyx. I'm Starfire."

The black and blue stallion heard voices. He silently moved closer and looked throught a tall bush. He could see two siloettes standing. They seemed to have just met. He quickled followed the long bush untill he got to the end of it. He had a closer veiw of them now. He gracfully stepped out of the bush and into veiw. "Hello," He said carfully, "I'm Galaxy."

Onyx and Starfire looked to the bushesd where the new voice had come from. Onyx dipped her head breifly in greeting, and replied, "Hello Galaxy. I'm Onyx, and this is Starfire." Her jewel-like eyes looked over this stallion carefully, and she ruffled her somewhat sparkly purple feathers. Starfire dipped her head as well.

"Nice to meet you both," Galaxy said politly. His bright sapphire eyes watched he quietly. He wasn't nervous and afraid of them in anyway even though he was a normal stallion. "Are there any herds I need to check with for permition?" He asked them. He highly doubted there were any herds out here. He shifted his muscular weight making his black and bright sapphire body glitter.

Onyx looked at him for a moment before turning her head away slightly and replying almost coldly, "No." Starfire looked at her new friend sadly, and the Unicorn walked over to Galaxy, her body almost blending in with the dark colors of the forest. She said quietly, "Don't take it personaly. Onyx told me that she's been alone her entire life. She whatched her parents being killed right before her. as a foal. They were killed trying to protect her from the lions, and there was nothing she could do to help them. Onyx just barley escaped with her life. She's lived out here on her own ever since." Starfire explained sadly.
[*stares at paragraph* ...Dang. It feels like I just wrote a million of those things, 0.o]

Galaxy looked at Onyx. "Life isnt' that bad," he said walking up to her and nudgein her gently. His brilliant blue eyes watched her purple ones. He was only trying to be nice.

Onyx sighed. "I only wish I could see the good side." She said. There was a small pause before she changed the subject. "So, what were you doing in these parts?" she asked to both Galaxy and Starfire, for Starfire had not yet told her how she got to be where she was.

Onyx nodded. "What about you Starfire?" The dark Pegasus asked curiously. Starfire shuffled her feet, and slightly blushed. "I- uh..I was chased by a mountain lion. I was in the Mountain Range, looking for berries, but one of those stupid cats chased me off." The blue-green unicorn mumbled, blowing her gray and white forelock uot of her eyes.

"Well, at least you got away," Galazy said trying to think of the good sie of things. HE shifted his weight slightly makign his black/black coat sparkle.

Onyx looked from Starfire to Galaxy. Then, breaking the silence, she asked, "So...what now?" She shifted her weight, hitting a shaft of moonlight, making her Onyx coat glitter.

Galaxy thought for a moment, then was distracted by Onyx's glittering moonlight coat. He shook his head trying to think again.
