Sombra took to the skys above them, carfullying following. His black wings casted shadows over the two below. He could see a herd ahead.

Destiny immediatly found their leader, Moonrise. The lavender paint Unicorn mare was speaking with another from the herd. "Moonrise!" Destiny whinnied, as they reached the herd. The leader locked her silver eyes on the palomino, and noticed the shadow above her and Princess. "This is Sombra. He says he is from the mountains, and wishes to speak with you."

Sombra landed with a gust of wind. "Hello," He said bowwing his head. "I am Sombra, I came from the mountains. I wish to join your herd." His hazel eyes watched the mare carfully. The lead mare looked wise and smart, but maybe kind and gentle.

Moonrise stepped forward, her wavy farelock covering her left eyes. She nodded her head. "Hello Sombra. I will gladly take you in as a member of MoonHerd." "But don't try anything smart, or you'll find yourself in a worse condtiion than before." There was a hint of amusement in her voice, but her silver eyes gave away nothing. Then the unicorn turned to Princess and Destiny. "Keep an eye on him." She said quietly. "Only until you know we can trust him." Then she stepped back. "Carry on." Moonrise then turned away, and began to continue her conversation with the other mare.

Sombra caught what the leader had said to the two feamales. He felt some what hurt that he couldn't be trusted. He trotted off and away.

Destiny looked at Princess and then Sombra. She sighed and hurries after the black peg. "Hey! Wait up!" When she had cought up with Sombra, she said quietly, "You heard what she said, didn't you? Anyway, it doesn't matter. Do you really expect her to welcome in a new horse without having any idea who you are? Just give her a little time to see how loyal you can be."

"If I was a threat I would have slayed you in the clearing. Maybe it's because I'm the color black; it's dark and evil," Sombra said looking ahead of him instead of at her when he talked. He had slowwed down and was walking though. A stream was not far ahead.

Destiny let out a gentle laugh. "No, I don't think it's that. We have some dark colored horses in MoonHerd, as well as a black one. Colors don't matter. It's just her way of testing you. Trust me." She nickered softly, and trotted ahead to the stream, taking a drink.

Sombra walked up to the stream and bowwed his head to get a drink. He paused and looked at his reflection first. Then broke thw mirrow water adn drank. He lifted his head when he was finished and looked about.

When Destiny had finished, she sighed. "C'mon. Let's get back to the ehrd. If your gonna' be a part of it, you should get to know some horses first." When the Inicorn saw Sombra's face, she added, "Or we could go running or explore the land."

"I wouldn't be running," Sombra said with a laugh at the last option. He flapped his large black wings then folded them. "Let's go exploring. I promise I'll stay on the ground for a while," He said. His black forelock covered his eyes.

"I don't know. I don't know thw lands very well yet," Sombra admitted. His chesnut eyes peered around the grasslands. He could just barely see the mountians of in the distance. They were like a short early morning stuble to a mans beard.

"Hi guys" Magic said landing by them. "Who's your friend?" she asked. "His name's Sombra" Princess said. She looked between the two pegs and rolled her eyes. "I see. It's nice to meet you Sombra. I'm Magic" Magic said politely.
