Black Rose trotted out of her cave and looked around, ears pricked and alert. Her white pelt shone brightly with the colors of the sun as it began to arise from beyond the cover of the snow-topped mountains in the distance. Her hot-pink eyes gazed into a small puddle of rainwater, leftover from a recent storm. The WU stared at her reflection, black forelock falling into her face. She would've looked like a typical mustang mare if it weren't for her hot-pink horn, pink and white tips on her mane, tail, and forelock, and her captivating, sparkling butterfly wings. They were white at the bottom, hot-pink in the middle, and a shimmering black at the top.
When Black Rose shifted her weight, or moved her wings just so, white sparkles would appear on the black tips, and hot-pink sparkles at the base of her wings. The mare sighed, and stepped through the puddle, shattering her reflection. Her black feathered feet carried her swiftly through the clearing, and halted at the entreacne to her best friend's den. Black Rose peered inside, and saw the white Pegasus cyrled up in a corner in teh back of the small cave. "Pssst," The WU called in a whisper. The white Pegasus stirred, but didn't get up.
Black Rose rolled her eyes, and 'smiled'. "Psst, Malaki!" She whispered a little louder. "Hmm?..." The mare answered, holding her head up, and yawning. "C'mon," Rose urged. Malaki got to ehr feet and shook her head, white mane streked with cyan flying around ehr graceful neck. "Okay, be right there." she called back quietly.
