Stalker

[Serenity]

Destiny was taking a peacful walk through the woods. It was mid-day, and the sun came through the trees as small beams of sunlight. Birds sang their songs, and the wing flowed gently through the trees and combed through Destiny's silky white hair.

Suddenly, the birds stopped chirping, and all was quiet except for the steady beat of Destiny's hooves. The Palomino unicorn stoped aruptly, scencing another animal nearby. "Who's there?" Destiny asked, ears back. She turned around, not knowing where the creature was. Little did she know, in the bushes behind her, a pair of electric green eyes was staring straight at her.

Destiny gasped as she picked up the creature's scent. It was a wolf. The unicorn half reared, and whinnied. Then the shaggy, dark gray wolf leaped out of the bushes, and latched onto Destiny's side. She cried out in pain, and bucked feircly until the wolf let go and fell to the ground.

But before Destiny could recover hersolf, the wolf was on her again, snapping at her neck. Destiny turned her head, and tried to bite the wolf. The electric green eyes stared coldly at Destiny's soft amber one's, making her gasp. The wolf saw its chance, and bit viciously into Destiny's neck, sprayng her silver blood. Destiny screamed in pain and collapsed to her knees. She managed to roll onto her back, crushing the wolf.

The wild animal howled, and crawled out from underneath Destiny. It had a broken leg, and was carrying it at a weird angle. Destiny saw a sharp stick nearby, and graspd it in her mouth. The she whipped her head around, and released the stick, sending it straight at the wolf. It animal had no time to escape, and the stick sliced through its side.

The wolf fell to the ground with a pityful cry of pain, its blood seeping out from under itin a crimson pool. It managed to get back to its paws again, and retreat from the area. Destiny's sides heaved, as she whatched the wolf scamper away. She had a severe, deep gash along her neck, and some deep scrapes on her sides.

She managed a last, soft whinney before falling into blackness.

Sombra heard cries of pain, that seemed to come from Destiny. He was out gettign a drink when he heard them and didn't know where she was. But now that he heard her he could spot her. He turned and galloped to the screams. His hazel eyes wide and alert.

He found Destiny on the ground. He couldn't tell if she was alive or not because he was nearly panicking. He kneeled(sp) next to her and nudged her with his soft onyx muzzle. HE whispered quietly, "Destiny.. Can you hear me?"

It seemed like forever before Destiny felt herself slowly come back to consiousness. She felt Sombra next to ehr, and she slowly begn to lift her head, confused as to where she was and what not.

Then she squeezed her eyes shut as pain shot through her body like lightning. Destiny sudenly remembered her encounter with the wolf. Her amber eyes were glazed over with pain, and she groaned, knowing that it would cause her more pain to try and sit up to heal her wounds.

Destiny didn't think she had enough energy left to heal ehr wounds anyway. She wondered if Sombra and her were close anough to the herd, another Unicorn could hear her, and come heal her. But Destiny rememebred that she was inside the forest across from the long plain, where her herd was settled.

Destiny could just barley hear Sombra's question; "Can you hear me?" Her soft amber ones looked up at him, and she managed, "Yes."

Sombra saw she was in great pain. They wee far from the heard and she was extremely weak. He didn't want to leave her, for the attackers might come back. He stood up on his nimble black legs and carefully nudged Destiny into a laying up postion. She was now leaning against his legs.

He bent his neck down and managed to ballance Destiny so he could get her onto his shoulders. He needed her to get to the herd.

Once she was safely on his shoulders he took to a slow heavy flight. He launched himself up and hard into the sky between a space in the forest roof. He flapped heavily, and fast. If his stamina and streangth gave out now, surely Destiny would die and he would be very injured.

He could see shadowy figures, on the pains now, though a cloud. He neighed loudly and alertingly, to tell everyone to watch out and be prepared to help. He made a careful descend. His muscles ached, but they still functioned. The black stallion slowly fell from teh sky. He reached the ground and landed with a thud.

[Serenity]

Destiny managed to breifly open her eyes. She could tell she was on Sombra's back, and that they were back at the herd, for there were many horses around them. Then she fell back into unconsiousness.

Moonrise looked up from her grazing when she heard a whinney, and then a thud. The lavender leader whinnied back worridly, and lunged foreward, cantering over to Sombra, and what looke dlike Destiny, on his back. Her silver eyes looked over Destiny's limp figure, and she looked up at Sombra. "What happened?" She asked urgently.

"I don't know, I went to get a drink then heard Destiny screaming," Sombra said. He felt extremely guilty. He bent his neck down and carfully slid Destiny off his shoulders. The black stallion asked, "Are their any healers?"

[Serenity]

[Dad's Computer]

Moonrise nodded. "All Unicorns are ealers, but some have that as a role in the herd." The Unicorn explianed, and bowed her had, her silver horn touching Destiny's worst wound and quickkly healing it.

[Sorry, short post! Gotta' go now. =(]

Sombra watched carefully, only wishing he had magic to do the same. His hazel eyes glanced around at anything carefully. He looked back at Destiny and laid his onyx head over Destiny's neck gently. He made sure he didn't hurt her in anyway.

[Serenity]

Moonrise finished healing the rest of Destiny's wounds, and looked up, her wavy lavender forlock falling in her face. "She needs to rest for awhile to regain her strength. But first we have to get her consious again." Moonrise explained, looking around for something that could wake the unconsious Palomino Unicorn that lay in front of her.

Moonrise finally found a puddle of water left over from recent rainfall, and the leader walked over to it, splashing some onto Destiny. Destiny layed still a moment longer, then her eyes snapped open, and she started sputtering the water that Moonrise had splashed on her.

Her soft amber eyes looked around the clearing, and she pricked her golden ears. "Am I back in the herd?" Destiny asked drowsly. Moonrise smiled when Destiny awoke,and replied, "Yes, you are back in the herd. But you must get some sleep if your strength is to return." The lavender mare advised.

[He, he. Lot's to write! xD]

Destiny nodded faintly, before falling into a deep slumber. Moonrise motioned to two horses standing near the three. "Can you two bring her to the healing den? She'll need her sleep if she's to regain her strength by tomarrow." The leader intructed. The two pegasus' bowed their heads respectivly, and then went over to Destny, gently scooping her up onto their backs and walking away.

Moonrise watched them leave, and then turned back to Sombra. "Thank you very much for bringing her back. You're a true friend." She said smiling. Her silver eyes looked into his hazel ones kindly for a moment, and then she gave a slight nod and walked past him.

Sombra watched Destiny be carried away, then nodded to Moonrise. Then he thought, I wouldn't want to hurt Destiny, even if it was an accident.

He laid down and closed his eyes.

[Serenity]

When Destiny awoke in the middle of the night, she felt normal again. The Palomino slowly got to her hooves, and stretched her neck. The sky was glittered with stars, and the ivory moon shone brilliantly in the midnight sky. Destiny's white mane glowed ivory, as well as her white feathered stockings.

She walked silently, picking her way around sleeping horses. She knew she shouldn't be going out on her own again, but her desirable thirst for cool water ignored her thoughts. Once she had gotten to the large grasslands where she loved to go for midnight walks, she started to canter in graceful movements.

The warm, summer nighttime breeze flowed around Destiny, and combed gently through her ghostly mane. Her pearly white horn glowed a tiny bit for light, even though she really didn't need it because of the beautifully lit sky. Once the small, peaceful river came to view, Destiny slowed to a trot, and halted at the banks to it.

The Unicorn looked around cautiously, to make sure that nothing/nobody was going to try and attack her while she was off-guard. But Destiny sensed nothing out of the ordinary on the wind. She lowered her neck, and began to drink the clear water. When she had finished, she looked up again, and then stepped a fore-leg into the river. It was just warm enough for her taste, and she walked in the rest of the way, until only her neck and head were above the water.

Destiny's long, silky white tail floated atop the water like a blade of grass. She waded deeper into to river, until she was about half-way across it. There, she had to swim to keep her neck and head above the water. Her graceful, golden neck shimmered as she arched it ever so slightly. Now, the tips of her flowing mane floated in the river as well as her tail.


[....0.0 I guess being cooped up in my house all week not able to write just made the words all gather up inside me, and I just let 'em all flow out! ^^; Maybe not even all of them...xD]

Sombra flicked an ear. He heard something by the river and decided to see what it was. He got to his onyx black feet. He took off at a smooth quiet canter and saw a silhouette in the stream. He slowed down to a trot and waited for his eyes to adjust. He could see Destiny. A smile lifted the corners of his dark muzzle and he walked closer.

Now he stood silently at the waters edge. His black mane cascaded over his hazel eyes and dark face. He whinnied quietly to tell her he was there. He didn't want to startle her.
